How Working is Good for Mothers and their Children

Do you ever feel guilty when you leave your child to go to work?  Well then you are not alone.  With the current economic situation, moms decide to go back to work to help with the bills, specially the single mothers. It is not an easy thing to juggle raising your child and your job. You might think that by focusing to do a better job on one you are neglecting the other and that makes you feel bad. You think  that your job is taking your time away from your child and that you are not doing a good job about raising him. And then when he starts crying when you leave it makes you feel worse.

Once and for all stop these negative thoughts. These things happen but that doesnt mean you need to dwell on them.

Here are some tips on how to stop feeling guilty when you go to work.

1. Learn that too much time together is not good.

A mother and child who is always together can develop a very toxic relationship. Both need time away from each other to experiment and grow. And the mom should also remember that she has a life outside her kid.

2. Stay at home mother's independence is limited.

Because stay at home mothers rely on their husbands financially so that makes their independence limited. She may want to have something for herself but she cannot have it because her husband's salary is mainly for the house bills and their child. It can also cause some strain in relationships because at the end of the day the mother is looking for adult conversation while the husband is looking for ways to unwind.

3. A job is just as rewarding as being a mom.

Having a job boosts your self-esteem because you feel that you are being part of a working crowd. Your salary can help your families financial needs and also you can buy something for yourself without sacrificing the needs at home. Your job also gives you opportunity to have adult conversation and experience things that will help grow.

4. Your child is not suffering; he is learning.

Your child will learn that you have a life of your own and that he cannot depend on you 24/7, and that is a good thing because it teaches your child to be independent. Time away from you can also expand their world by learning with other adults and they also learn to value the time they spend with you and not take it for granted.
